When I get to the airport, where do I check in?

You’ll find our designated check in counters well marked with our Air New Zealand logo. Additionally, in San Francisco and Los Angeles, you’ll also be able to check in at the self-service kiosks. 

What kind of commission structure do you have for travel agents?

Air New Zealand offers zero commission on published fares. With our preferred supplier relationships, agencies have the ability to earn commission.

What is the baggage allowance?

There are limits on the number of pieces and weight of baggage allowed, which vary with where you are travelling.

How do I process name corrections on 086 tickets?

To make name corrections on 086 tickets you are required to make a new booking with the correct name and issue the tickets. Contact sales support for a refund waiver to the original ticket, less a $75 processing fee. The new booking will be subject to availability. We are happy to assist with transferring space on NZ operated flights from the record with the incorrect name to the new record, however we cannot assist with changing any interline space. Where can I learn more about flying with medical equipment?

Air New Zealand has some special equipment that can be installed on its aircraft for customer use. In other cases the customer will need to provide the required equipment. Equipment requiring an electrical outlet must be fitted with a US plug; please note that adapters can not be used onboard.

Who are your frequent flyer partners?

Air New Zealand is proud to be a member of the Star Alliance network. Our U.S. and Canadian passengers may earn miles when traveling with Air New Zealand through Star Alliance airline partners.

Your clients may use Star Alliance airline partner miles to purchase a ticket on Air New Zealand, and they may use their miles to upgrade cabins on Air New Zealand. Please contact the appropriate Star Alliance airline partner to make arrangements. They handle all aspects of the booking.

What is Air New Zealand’s frequent flyer program called?

What requirements are there to visit your lounges?

Koru members and business class ticket holders who are travelling on an Air New Zealand ticketed and departing flight the same day.

Star Alliance Gold or Air New Zealand Gold and Elite Airpoints member have access to all Air New Zealand owned and operated lounges. 

Silver Airpoints & Air New Zealand credit cardholders & Above & Beyond members may use complimentary single entry lounge passes for all Air New Zealand lounges in New Zealand and all Air New Zealand operated International Lounges when travelling on an Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flight the same day. Please note - only children under 2 years of age may accompany the guest on a complimentary basis.

Do you offer travel agent special fares?

Yes. Air New Zealand offers Travel Agent Specials for travel from North America to our international destinations.

Air New Zealand’s Travel Agent Special fare allows one travelling companion of your choice to travel with you at the same low fare you receive. Contact sales support for further details 800.262.2468.

Do you offer Fast Track to passengers on flights to LHR?

Yes.  We are delighted to be reinstating LHR Immigration Fast Track beginning July 1, 2013.  Fast Track is designed to expedite all non-UK/EU Business Premier passengers and Air Points Gold Elite members through immigration at Heathrow Terminal 1.  This complements the LHR Fast Track Departure service that Air New Zealand premium passengers currently enjoy.

What fare basis/booking class should be used for the American Express IAP Companion Ticket Offer?

Do you collect a date change fee at check-in, so agency does not have to reissue ticket?

Tickets need to be reissued with the new dates of travel. If another airline is the first carrier on the changed dates on the itinerary then the agent must reissue the tickets. 

Is a waiver required for itinerary changes that result from a schedule change?

Yes. When a ticketed itinerary changes as a result of a schedule change on Air New Zealand or on a connecting carrier using a through Air New Zealand fare.  Contact sales support for further details 800-262-2468.
